Privacy Policy

Roamer (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a private travel marketplace that connects flexible travelers with luxury hotel partners. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, username, and date of birth when you sign up.
  • Trip preferences: destination, travel dates, party size, budget range, vibe preferences, amenities, and any notes you add to a stay request.
  • Profile details: home city and saved trip defaults stored in your account.
  • Communications: messages between you and our concierge team or hotel partners.
  • Partner information: hotel property details, contact information, and team member data provided during the partner application and onboarding process.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions within the app — collected via PostHog (see section 3) and used to improve the product.
  • Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL.
  • Cookies and local storage: session tokens for authentication and temporary draft data (e.g., a trip brief you started but have not submitted).

2. How we use your information

  • Deliver the service: match your trip request with suitable hotel partners and present curated offers.
  • Communicate with you: send transactional emails (request confirmations, offer notifications, booking updates) via Resend. You can adjust email preferences in your account settings.
  • Personalize your experience: pre-fill future requests from saved preferences and show relevant destinations.
  • Operate the partner portal: share relevant, anonymized traveler request details with hotel partners assigned to your request.
  • Improve the product: analyze usage patterns and measure feature performance.
  • Legal and safety: comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect users from fraud or abuse.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Hotel partners: when your request is matched to a property, we share relevant stay details (destination, dates, party size, budget range, preferences) with that partner so they can prepare an offer. Your full name, email, and phone number are shared only once a booking is confirmed.
  • Service providers: we use Supabase for database and authentication, Resend for transactional email, PostHog for product analytics, and Google Analytics for site usage measurement. PostHog collects page views, feature interactions, and device/browser information to help us understand how the product is used. Google Analytics collects page views and device/browser information through cookies. You can opt out of PostHog tracking at posthog.com/privacy. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Roamer or its users.
  • Business transfers: if Roamer is acquired or merges with another company, your data may transfer as part of that transaction.

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

Trip requests, offers, and booking records are retained for a minimum of three years for record-keeping and dispute resolution purposes.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security policies on our database, and server-side authentication via Supabase. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent for email communications at any time via your notification settings or by emailing us.

7. Children

Roamer is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
